Having the privilege of being surrounded by a beautiful forest, Colegio San Patricio has, for the past ten years, been active in conservation through a didactic environmental program and has sought to create a harmonious relationship between students and their environment. This year, through the PRAE program (Proyecto Ambiental Escolar), we are working on the following projects:
Ecological Walks: Botanical species are identified, documented and inventoried by fourth grade students along various paths in and along our forest
Collection and conservation of native floral seeds found on school grounds: ninth grade students.
Identification and conservation of native floral species: seventh and eighth grade students.
Identification and conservation of arthropods at Colegio San Patricio: sixth grade students.
The above projects are discussed during environmental classes in each of the grades.
